Dubai Driving Classes to Increased from 30 mins to 1 hour

As per evaluation of RTA, there is a need to increased the driving class from 30 minutes to 1 hour driving lesson per day.

20 hours are not enough to learn driving say Dubai residents. This will help novice drivers to learn more in practical lessons and apply the theories learned inside the classrooms. Applicants have different learning capacity,  some are quick to learn driving skills but others might take more time.

The good news as per the CEO of  Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority Licensing Agency, there will be no additional cost on the part of the students.

The minimum hours still be 20 hours of road driving and after completing it, the driving school will make an assessment whether or not a student is ready for the road test that will be conducted by the RTA.

"Effective January 1, 2017, all the lessons will be on hourly basis and not half an hour" .

At present rules, a newbie driver who does not have a driving license from any country has to take 40 classes of 30 minutes of each class at Driving school while those holding their country's licence 2- 5 years old need to take 15 classes while those more than 5 years old need to take only 10 classes.

The new rules on driving  will lessen future accidents and UAE roads will be safer.  This will help students to be more familiar on the road rules and regulations.

I FAILED MANY TIMES IN DRIVING TEST

I'm trying to look back at the past and analyze my mistakes in my journey in taking the drivers license in Dubai, UAE. I took the driving test by taking 34 tests combined (Theory, Parking, Assessment and Final Road Test).

Here is the breakdown:

I'm grateful and thankful that I have now my driving license and passed the Road Test last 29 September 2016.

It costs me 16, 460 AED equivalent of a second hand Toyota Yaris Sedan 2012 model, I attended more than 80 classes and almost 1 year in the driving school.

I'm losing my confidence because most of the exams I took in the past was not this hard to achieve. The 8 minutes perfect driving gave me many lessons and I could say to myself that I'm a great driver.

Good luck to all students taking their classes...
